Holiday Favorites From 2011
Here’s a few of my favorites from some holiday sessions.

So Sweet!
Alexis ~ with mommy and baby sister too.

This is Alexis – and is she ever the busy, busy one! She was such a joy to photograph… and what a personality! She was chattering away the entire time, telling stories and finding different paths to walk on. She kept me going. She is living proof of why I enjoy photographing children so much. It was such a joy to capture her personality. I think you will agree that her smile is contagious and her LAUGH – if only I could have a recording of it! Thank you for a fun session Alexis! And thanks to mommy and baby sister too.

This looks like she walking in a secret garden. She was looking for a place to “take pictures” she said.

A sweet shot with her pretty mommy!

She LOVED this old truck!

She was telling her “story” of how the holes got in the windshield! She has a great imagination!!

She loved running through these tall flowers…

Little sister wanted to play the “peek-a-boo” game at the railings too!

Just love her pretty blue eyes!!

She loved this heart carved into the rock.

Little sister wanting in on all the fun too! Who says it was Alexis’ photo session anyway?!!!

She was laughing so hard… and I’m not sure we ever figured out what she thought was so funny!

Mommy was trying to get her to make silly faces at me… and all she did was laugh!

The last click of the camera after walking down one more path… she looks a little sleepy to me. I think she had a lot of fun and probably slept good the night of her session.
Copelin and Annelise

Recently we had our grandchildren for a visit and I was able to take them to a park for an official “photo session”! WOW! I had forgotten how fast a 20 month old could be in a big park with lots of room to run! We had a great time and I think Mommy and Daddy will be happy with the album.

Annelise loved to taste the bubbles…

Notice the bubbles on the mouth…

A boy and his stick.

She’s gotta follow big brother!

I just had to post this one!

This little “pose” was Copelin’s idea… he looked at me and put his chin on his hand and said: “How ’bout this?”!

Copelin enjoyed his time at the park so much! I wonder if he’s wishing for a fishing pole?

A Special morning with Allen…

This is Allen! He’s a sweet little guy… and a friend of ours from STAR (Shangri-la Therapeutic Academy of Riding). It was a real privilege to have time with him on this photo session, and to capture these sweet moments in his life. My daughter, Hannah, went along as my assistant. It was great because Allen was so glad to see her! She’s one of his helpers at STAR, so he already enjoys being around her. We all had a wonderful time! Thank you Allen!

Allen likes Hannah (my daughter and assistant) so much! So the only way I could get him away from her… in order to take some pictures of him alone was to suggest they play “hide-and-seek”!

Sammy and His Three Brothers… and itty-bitty baby sister!

Meet Sammy. He’s the “star of the show” … or at least the busiest one around his house most of the time! We had a wonderful time on our session, along with his 3 brothers and one baby sister. We took a walk together, walked around his yard, talked, laughed… and I even gave him a piggy-back ride back to his house when it started to rain.

He could have the most serious looks sometimes… then go right back to chattering away about something!

Then there’s his “wrinkled brow” look!! He was so funny!

I really had to convince him that it would be okay for us to go off the path and walk up this hill a little ways.

He’s really a thinker! He has a busy mind… and busy feet.

This was so funny! I started talking to him about this fire hydrant… and I asked him what “kind” was it. He stood there in deep thought… and then proclaimed that it was a PIRATE one!

He was so cute here. He acted so “grown up” when I asked if he would like to stand up against the bricks.

l

The kitchen area in their house has some great natural light! So I got on the floor with him and captured this precious smile!

Time for some brother fun!

These guys were HILARIOUS!!

This was really cute! The boys just laughed and laughed as they were all climging on big brother’s shoulders.

Here’s precious little Nellie. She’s really grown a LOT since I was at her house about a month ago. She was not sleeping very well… but mom still tried to put her to seep so I could get a few good shots of her.

What a PRECIOUS FAMILY to spend the day with!
The Many Faces of Sarah

THIS is Sarah! She was one of the most enjoyable little 4 year olds I have ever been around! So full of life and personality… an ABSOLUTE DOLL! What a joy this session was for me, and a privilege – that her parents would allow me this opportunity. Thank you Sarah, for a WONDERFUL time!

She just LOVED this hat and scarf that I brought along for the session. She was quite the model!

I think she would have blown bubbles all day long if I would have had the time…

She was so full of life! I would ask her questions and she would come up with the funniest expressions and answers! In this shot I was asking her if she could hear the birds… she would joyfully look up into the trees, and then we’d whisper for a few seconds…

She really enjoyed this hydrangea bloom from my garden at home that I brought. She would carry it around like a torch!

This little gal just has personality BUBBLING all over!!

We were getting close to the end of our session… and she started to show signs of needing that mid-morning rest time. Still just as sweet as ever!

I almost think that little Sarah had as much fun as I did!

Summer time fun!

So… most grandparents like to show off photos of their grandchildren, right??! Well I think that is especially true for photographers!
I had a wonderful time with my two grandchildren at the beach in CA. They live in AL, so being at the ocean was a special treat for them. And for me, well, I’m a TN girl now, but was raised in CA. So I always love to be at the ocean. Hope you enjoy them… can almost smell the salt air and hear the waves…

Family portrait time
It’s been a while since I’ve posted because I’m in CA visiting family! I’ve had a wonderful time with some sessions here. It’s amazing the beauty of God’s creation everywhere we go. And adding a family to the scene that is so full of life – just adds to the beauty! We had a wonderful time…
